ywkk Cricket Betting — Choose the Best Markets for BPL, IPL and International Matches
From T20 to Test — multiple betting markets in every format, live in-play odds, and easy deposits via bKash, Nagad and all familiar payment methods.
Cricket's Three Formats and Major Tournaments
T20 Cricket
Just 20 overs per innings — high scores in a short time, with tension right through to the last over. BPL, IPL and the ICC T20 World Cup are the biggest events in this format. With the fast pace of play, odds shift every over, making it especially popular for live betting.
One-Day Cricket (ODI)
50 overs per innings — a mix of strategy and power. The ICC Cricket World Cup and bilateral series are played in the ODI format. Many of the Bangladesh Tigers' biggest wins have come in this format. Betting markets include run-outs, partnerships and separate player performance options.
Test Cricket
This five-day format is the longest test in cricket. Beyond match winner, markets available only in Tests include series result, win by an innings margin and draw. Experienced bettors tend to favour Test cricket because there is more time to analyse the markets.
BPL, IPL and International Cricket
For Bangladeshi fans, the BPL (Bangladesh Premier League) is the closest to home. Multiple betting markets are open for every franchise match. The IPL is the most-followed cricket league in the world — frequent changes among participating teams cause odds to move quickly.
ICC tournaments — the T20 World Cup, Cricket World Cup and Champions Trophy — keep betting activity going throughout the year. ywkk offers the opportunity to bet directly on matches in these competitions. Sign in to ywkk Bet to see the full sports market list.
Popular Betting Markets and Brief Examples
A simple explanation of how each market below works. Team A and Team B are used as team names — these are examples only and do not refer to any specific team.
Match Winner
The simplest market — which team will win the match? Team A or Team B? T20 and ODI matches do not have a draw option, so you choose one of the two. Example: if you pick Team B and Team B wins, the bet is successful.
Toss Betting
You can bet on the outcome of the toss before the match starts. With two equally likely outcomes, odds are generally around 1.90 or close to it. Example: if you bet on Team A to win the toss — the bet wins if the toss goes to Team A, and loses if it does not.
Top Batsman
Who will score the most runs within a specific team? You pick one batter in this market. Example: if you select a batter as Team A's top run-scorer — the bet wins if that player scores the most runs in the team.
Total Runs Over/Under
You choose whether the total runs in a match will be over or under a set number. Example: in a T20 a run line is set at 320 — if you pick over, the bet wins if total runs reach 321 or more.
Multi Bet
Multiple matches or markets are combined into a single bet. If all selections are correct, the odds multiply and the return is much larger — but if even one is wrong, the entire bet loses. Example: three matches with decimal odds of 1.40, 1.50 and 1.70 — combined odds 1.40 × 1.50 × 1.70 = 3.57 (approx), so a ৳100 bet returns ৳357 if all are correct.
Handicap Betting
The weaker team is given a notional run or wicket advantage to balance the bet. Example: Team B is given a 25-run handicap advantage — even if Team B loses by 20 runs, adding the handicap puts them ahead, so the handicap bet wins.
How to Read Odds in Three Formats
The same odds can be written in three different ways — decimal, fractional and American. Two examples below make this straightforward.
Example 1 — Team A to win (stake ৳200)
| Format | Value | What it means |
|---|---|---|
| Decimal | 2.50 | Total return from the bet = stake × odds |
| Fractional | 3/2 | ৳3 profit for every ৳2 wagered |
| American | +150 | ৳150 profit on ৳100 |
Example 2 — Team B is the favourite (stake ৳200)
| Format | Value | What it means |
|---|---|---|
| Decimal | 1.25 | Lower odds because they are the favourite |
| Fractional | 1/4 | ৳1 profit for every ৳4 wagered |
| American | -400 | You need to stake ৳400 to make ৳100 profit |
What does the minus (-) sign mean in American odds?
In the American or Moneyline format, plus (+) means that amount is the profit on a ৳100 bet — used for underdogs. Minus (-) means that amount must be staked to make ৳100 profit — used for favourites. All three formats are simply three different ways of expressing the same outcome; there is no difference.
When a Wicket Falls, Odds Change — In-Play Betting
You can still place bets after a match has started — that is in-play or live betting. In T20, odds can change after every over and even after every ball. When a wicket falls, that team's chances of winning drop, so their odds lengthen. The reverse is also true — when runs come quickly, the favourite's odds shorten further.
The pace of the match differs across the powerplay, middle overs and death overs. A big wicket in the powerplay can make the under market on the batting team's total runs favourable. When fewer runs are needed in the death overs, the rate of big shots goes up, which shortens the batting team's winning odds.
One advantage of live betting is that you can watch the match and make decisions in real time — you can choose betting markets based on pitch conditions, the nature of the wicket and the batting order as you see it unfold.
Football and Other Sports
Football alongside Cricket
As with cricket, ywkk offers various markets on football — match winner, both teams to score, handicap and total goals over/under. There is one key difference between betting on cricket and football: in cricket a draw normally only occurs in Tests, while T20 and ODI matches have a definite result. In football a draw is a normal outcome, so there are three options — home win, draw, away win — which makes the betting calculation slightly more involved.
In cricket, in-play odds shift ball by ball; in football they shift on major events such as goals or red cards. It is possible to combine matches from both sports in a multi bet — but if one selection is wrong, the entire bet loses.
In other sports — tennis, badminton, kabaddi — the number of markets is generally smaller, but match winner and set winner markets are available. In major tournaments, season-long markets are also open.
Some Useful Tips Before You Start Betting
Betting is a form of entertainment. It is sensible to set aside a fixed amount before playing.
Set a Budget
Decide on a budget for each betting session in advance and stick to that limit without going over. Reading the responsible gaming guidelines will make this clearer.
Start with One Market
Begin with straightforward markets like match winner or total runs over/under. Each additional selection in a multi bet increases the risk, so it is better to avoid large multi bets before you have built up some experience.
Understand the Odds Format
Decimal, fractional or American — use whichever you are comfortable with. ywkk lets you view odds in your preferred format.
Follow the Match Situation
Pitch type, weather and recent form all affect how a match plays out. Watching a match while making live betting decisions makes the experience more informed.
Try to Learn from Losses
Losses are a normal part of betting. Avoid the habit of placing larger bets immediately after a loss to try to recover — it tends to make things worse. See the terms and conditions page for full details on the rules.
